About the Job

As our Employee Services Supervisor, you'll focus on planning and coordinating effective and efficient department operation through leadership and supervision of your team's shared duties plus collective HR/Employee communication efforts thereby enhancing employee awareness, satisfaction, and connection. Using subject-matter expertise and niche knowledge, you'll work closely with Payroll and IT to maintain improvement efforts and actively solve issues as they arise and drive employee service center outcomes to optimize customer service to the business by utilizing trending analytics. In doing so, you'll ensure excellence in accountability, responsiveness, and data integrity while safeguarding support for Managers and our HR Team by creating and maintaining HRIS processes, policies, activities, and administration.

You will report directly to the Director of Total Rewards, based at our Head Office in Niagara Falls, with up to two days' remote work available.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee and support Employee Services Advisors' maintenance, auditing, and reporting activities and function as escalated technical support for employees, managers, and HR Team and for corrections to errors or for earnings accuracy & regular and year end payroll processes.
  • Use HR trending data, metrics, and HRIS reporting to anticipate and optimize employee support and customer service to the business and ensure data integrity while making initiative-taking recommendations focused on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Administer group benefit and retirement programs by monitoring plan design/upgrades, amendment requests and completion, competitiveness factors and absence program management.
  • Coordinate system set up of new business units and benefit groups, assisting with integrations; Lead quarterly release system testing to ensure functionality, with Employee Services Advisors support.
  • Act as liaison with Marketing, Payroll, IT and third parties on coordinated efforts such as HR/Employee communications and training efforts, systems integrity, and monitoring internal accrual systems.

Here's What You Need

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of related Human Resources experience. Oracle experience and supervisory expertise are distinct assets.
  • Two+ year post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources studies or training/equivalent.
  • A valid Ontario G Class Driver's License in good standing and access to a vehicle for travel to local Walker sites.
  • Advanced computer software skills for efficiency, effectiveness, and producing multifaceted reports as needed.
  • Manages personnel and payroll information confidentially, with utmost discretion and in a professional and organized manner.
  • Intermediate to advanced problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve problems and formulate action plans.
