Are you known for your ability to troubleshoot while ensuring that major building equipment is functioning properly? Do you take pride in seeing projects through to completion, ensuring the highest quality of work and safety standards? The job involves:

• Providing technical trade functions in relationship to mechanical, electrical and welding
• Assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing pumps, compressors and power transmission systems
• Moving heavy equipment
• Using a variety of machine and hand tools
• Completing demand and preventative maintenance work orders
• Controlling inventory to ensure adequate supply of all work materials
• Meeting project deadlines, following documented plans and project specifications for final layout and installation, inspecting and certifying work ensuring compliance with project specifications and municipal building codes
• Working with external contractors by providing escorts, assistance and direction
• Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
• Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:

• A certificate of qualification as a Millwright
• Minimum 5 years experience in a large commercial environment
• Certification as a Gas Fitter and a valid Ontario Driver's License Class "G"
• Variable speed drive troubleshooting experience
• The ability to work safe by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as well as recognizing and correcting unsafe situations or hazards
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
• Experience handling fire extinguishers
• Welding experience - All tickets
