The job involves:

  • Supervising the day to day Slot operations - ensuring compliance with procedures, preparing associate schedules, ensuring adequate shift coverage, managing payroll, regulating key controls, notifying Surveillance/Security of any fraudulent activity and administrative duties
  • Overseeing the functionality, maintenance and repairs of all slot machines and related equipment
  • Ensuring associates work in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation - advising workers on the potential and actual hazards of the job, and providing instructions as to the measures and procedures required to work safely
  • Tracking slot performance and completing daily operational reports
  • Assisting with the implementation of departmental projects
  • Consulting with AGCO and OPP personnel regarding gaming equipment compliance
  • Issuing complimentaries in accordance with comping guidelines
  • Working as one team under stressful conditions during high volume business levels
  • Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
  • Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
  • Managing frontline hourly associates and their accountability of performance.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration or equivalent and/or Electronic Technician/Technologist diploma
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Demonstrated leadership, management and team building skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills
