RVA is looking for a motivated and passionate Project Manager to join their Building Services group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will bring to life the many sustainable and complex buildings RVA delivers for its clients. Additionally, you will lead teams of experts from our Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation/Controls departments for projects within our Building Services group.
You will work to match RVA's capabilities with our clients' needs, and cross-sell RVA's services from multiple business lines. Consistent with RVA's culture of ownership, you will take personal ownership of your projects and see them through the entire lifecycle from proposal preparation to commissioning.
You have excellent skills in managing scope, schedule, and budget. You know when to engage technical leads, how to set realistic deadlines/expectations, and can effectively forecast budget expenditures. You are eager to develop new skills and take on more responsibilities.
Your technical background is Civil and/or Structural in nature, but your focus is Project Management. You have considerable experience participating in a variety of work including proposal preparation, engineering studies, condition assessments, preliminary/detailed design, cost estimates, schedule development, preparation of contract documents, tendering, construction administration, and QA review. You are comfortable working closely with all levels including senior management, supervising engineers, designers, drafters/modelers, and support staff.
You are generous with your time spent mentoring and coaching junior staff to help cultivate their professional development. You help to motivate other people, share positive recognition you receive, and give immediate constructive feedback to your team when needed. You advocate for your team both internally and externally, and you have resilience to solve problems that may arise on a project. You trust in your team's skills to get the job done.
RVA is committed to helping you succeed, as your success is RVA's success.
