As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible to proactively monitor the services and systems offered to our internal and external business partners. Working in a Network Operations Center (NOC), this role involves identifying and troubleshooting IT system issues, ensuring the availability of services, and providing first-line support for any critical IT systems. The NOC Technician plays a key role in ensuring system uptime and efficient operation of systems by resolving technical issues promptly and escalating more complex problems to other IT departments or resources.


HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Monitor network systems, servers, and services for performance and uptime.

  • Identify and resolve system issues, including connectivity problems, outages, and hardware failures.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of critical IT systems including VMs, Switches, Firewalls, Storage, and hardware.

  • Respond to and resolve alerts, escalate critical issues to higher-level support as necessary.

  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system status in monitoring tools and ticketing systems.

  • Assist with any preventive maintenance tasks, and IT publications.

  • Provide timely communication to internal teams and clients regarding system status and incidents.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in IT NOC role monitoring critical system infrastructure.

  • Minimum of 5 year's experience in a technical / hands on role in IT infrastructure.

  • Post secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies not limited to Windows Server/Workstation, Azure, M365, MS Exchange.

  • Knowledge in VMWare EXSi Hypervisor is recommended

  • Knowledge in common IT protocols and technologies such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMB, etc.

  • Knowledge with Cisco Switches and Palo Alto firewalls is recommended

  • Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM best practices IT environments.

  • Strong communications and organizational skills.
