How You'll Perform the Role
Under the direction of the Supervisor and designated shift Lead Hands, this position is knowledgeable in the quality of the product required, machine efficiency, run time utilization, safety and housekeeping and is capable to perform a complete changeover on any piece of equipment.
Complete changeover on any piece of bag making equipment
Must be capable to set up all attachments onto bag machine
Make adjustments to produce bag to customer specifications
Weighs and disposes and reports the scrap generated by bag machines or quality checks such as misprint.
Tags any rolls on hold for inspection and subsequent disposition
Moves completed finished goods to staging area in warehouse
Responsible for area housekeeping, cleans machine, perforations, bags, roll stock and packaging materials around the machine and common areas
Performs QC checks on all machines running
What We Need From You
Must be able to work rotating 12 hour continental shifts.
Eligible to work in Canada
Minimum 2-3 years prior work experience in a flexographic printing environment is an asset.
Knowledge of Converting Bag Machine Operation is an asset
Possess leadership skills
Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude
Good basic math skills
Good verbal and written command of English
Troubleshooting skills
Capable of working independently and as a team
Reliable attendance
Work overtime as required.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
