Plow Truck Operator - 2024/25 Season

Position Type: Seasonal Contract
Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday, days and evenings - based on weather demands
Location: Orono, Ontario
Reporting to: Outdoor Operations Manager
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused team members to help us turn everyday visits into wonderful winter memories.

We are currently seeking Plow Truck Operators for the 2024/25 Winter Season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for snow removal on, and the general care and maintenance of all Brimacombe Parking areas, access roads, paths and throughways
• Change operational time signage in each parking lot daily or as required
• Maintain lines of communication with the General Manager, Outdoor Operations Manager, Department Manager, Snowmaking Team Leads and co-workers regarding hill conditions, facility/run/lift closures, special events, etc.
  
• Perform daily inspections on vehicles, on-snow vehicles and/or other pieces of equipment or methods of supplied transportation being utilized and provide accurate and legible inspection log sheet(s)
• Report daily facility opening and closings and all terrain conditions to the Ontario Snow Resorts Association web page
• Maintain parking lot bollard positions, signs and emptying garbage containers
• Maintain awareness and practice safe operational procedures and limitations of all related equipment
• Assist mobile equipment mechanic and/or maintenance department
• Maintain and complete, accurate and legible documentations of all required logs and journals that may be required of your position
• Charlie-Tango-Alpha-Foxtrot - using radios for communication

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating Plow Truck and Tractor
• Valid Driver's license
• Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
• Basic knowledge and comfort with computers and tablets
• Strong communication and time management skills
  
• 25 years of age or older
• Able to work with varying start times depending upon weather
