About the Role

Step into a leadership role at Egis Canada as a Construction Contract Administrator, where your expertise will drive the success of diverse and challenging infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you’ll oversee Construction Inspectors, ensuring projects meet contractual, safety, and quality standards. Your ability to navigate complexities, provide solutions, and build strong stakeholder relationships will be instrumental in achieving project milestones.

This role offers significant growth opportunities, preparing you to take on larger responsibilities as you contribute to Ontario’s infrastructure development. You’ll be at the forefront of project delivery, shaping outcomes while advancing your career in contract administration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise Construction Inspectors, providing mentorship and oversight to ensure project goals are met.
  • Interpret contract drawings, specifications, and standards, providing guidance to stakeholders and team members.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and manage progress reports, payment certifications, and claims, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Review and analyze contractor schedules, providing insights to keep projects on track.
  • Actively resolve challenges, recommend mitigation strategies, and oversee adjustments to project plans as needed.
  • Foster compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all phases of the project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering;
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications;
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and attention to detail skills;
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance;
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area;

EXPERIENCE

  • Registered as P. Eng. with PEO or rcca with OACETT;
  • Completion of MTO T131 - Advanced Claims - Dispute Resolution course;
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor - or Assistant supporting these roles - on at least two (2) previous projects;
  • 5+ years experience in structural, watermain, asphalt, and/or grade construction on road and/or bridge construction projects.
