The Procurement Branch manages the public procurement process to ensure competitive, fair and transparent acquisition of goods and services reflecting industry best practices to effectively meet the needs of the City's business lines.
In support of Supply Services' objective to empower client departments by providing them with the tools, agreements, controls, and authority to effectively and efficiently manage their Service Areas, you are responsible for: identifying, planning, and implementing the processes to support the delegation of call-ups off of Standing Offers; developing business processes, related tools and training for departmental clients; providing guidance and assistance to client departments during complex and high-value call-up processes; assisting client departments through the renewal and renegotiation of existing standing offer contracts for the acquisition of goods, services and Construction; and working with client departments to manage contractor performance from date of award to contract completion.
You also provide reports, respond to queries, and provide guidance and resolve issues from stakeholders on behalf of the City of Ottawa, Ottawa Police Services, and the Ottawa Public Library.
Completion of 3 year university degree or community college diploma in business administration, public administration or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
