We're looking for full-time Guideway Technicians @ Ottawa operations site, could it be you?

Your future role

As a Guideway Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the assets on the guideway of the line (fences, track, greens management, drainage control of the platform and tunnel, overhead catenary system, access control etc.), in line with specified Quality procedures.

As this is an industrial/field work environment, physical demands are in consequence (work outside in all weather conditions, work at heights, etc…). Flexibility to work on different shifts will be needed to meet with operational requirements.

While interacting daily with co-workers, external suppliers/contractors and management, all activities will be performed in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as prescribed by legislation and the ALSTOM Health & Safety policies.

The starting rate is $31.83/h.

You'll specifically take care of

· Complying with and enforcing EHSS policies and rules

· Carrying out all levels of examination and work arising on the line guideway

· Monitoring of incoming work orders

· Maintenance of some other assets (Tunnel ventilation, security system, Pumps etc.)

· Reporting activities (work orders/inspections) through a Computerized Maintenance Management system

We'll look to you for

· On-time resolution for incidents

· Closure of all Work Orders with accurate information and on time

· To work with the Rail System Team in case of emergency or extreme weather in order to maintain the line operation

· Support and supervision of external supplier representatives
