Head of Procurement and Supply Chain - Aviation (Permanent)

Expected Salary: $125,054 to $187,581

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of procurement and supply chain services to the Aviation business line, supporting fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft across Manitoba and British Columbia.
  • Develop a framework of subcontract and supplier agreements to provide cost certainty, security of supply and mitigate financial risk.
  • Determine governance arrangements for the delivery of procurement and supply chain services to the Aviation business line, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities, including identification and monitoring of risks and planning, and implementing responses to these.
  • Manage inventory, procurement and finances across multiple ERP systems including IFS, CAMP and WinAir.
  • Have a proven ability to build and lead highly effective, geographically dispersed teams., building consensus and balancing multiple, concurrent priorities.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with external stakeholders, managing geographically dispersed relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Aviation Engineering, Commercial, Infrastructure and Finance to resolve a range of complex issues and provide requisite support to the Aviation business line.
  • Be adept at presenting detailed information concisely and appropriately tailored to various audiences.
  • Be able to also work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise superior judgement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • You have a recognized University Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • You have 12-15 years' practical experience in increasingly complex procurement and supply chain activities; experience within the Aviation sector is strongly preferred.
  • You are comfortable operating within a fast-paced operationally focused environment supporting the deployment of civilian fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • You have a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation.
  • You have experience establishing and refining sub-contracting arrangements to ensure activities can be appropriately supported.
  • You are a positive, resilient, and focused individual.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • You have demonstrated analytical abilities in budgeting and financial management and are able to plan and control finances; and demonstrated data analysis skills you are able to deploy as a means of driving performance.
  • You are eligible for ITAR Clearance.
