About this opportunity:

Ericsson is offering an exciting opportunity to join our global team as an NW Tools Automation Architect. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating principles, models, and guidelines from strategies while translating requirements into cost-efficient solution architectures. This role encourages interaction with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a good IP network and security competence. You will work, collaborate, and communicate in an international environment.

What you will do

  • Ensure network operations service solutions are consistent and globally aligned between our sites.
  • Ensure Network and Security operations follows high security standard.
  • Provide professional network operations support for the backend infrastructure of Ericsson lab Operations.
  • Perform incident/alert troubleshooting, problem analysis, and provide high quality solutions to technical issues and service request
  • Contribute to the creation of cost-effective solutions through activities in design, planning and deployment
  • Develop and us pro-active measures to maintain a stable environment and optimizes as necessary
  • Contribute to implementing continuous improvements by collecting users' feedback
  • Execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to failed deliveries and incidents

The skills you bring

  • Good IP networks expertise
  • Good knowledge of Information Systems security
  • Installation, commissioning, optimization and life cycle management of: new and existing IP networkcomponents (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, LDP, MPLS-VPN (Layer3)
  • Excellent knowledge in IP, Ethernet, VLAN, L2/L3 Protocols and 802.1x standards
  • Good knowledge in IPsec, GRE, NAT, IPv6
  • Experienced with SSLVPN (SA appliances from Juniper)
  • Deep understanding of IP networking protocols and technologies like TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, AAA,HTTP, LDAP, SNMP, NTP, FTP
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX O/S (Solaris, Linux) and scripting (shell or Perl or Python)
  • Deep hands-on hardware experience: installation and commissioning of Juniper switches (EX and QFXtypes)
  • IP network monitoring and management tools (IPAM, NMS, etc...)
  • JavaScript, Docker, Ansible

Technical skills/knowledge

  • At least 5 years of working with complex infrastructures, datacenter and firewall environments.
  • At least CCNP or JNCIP certificates level or equal and used to working with, and have deep knowledge about routers, switches and firewalls from different vendors in live environments and understand what it means to operate live network environments with many users.
  • Hands on and configuration experience (hands-on) track record with Juniper networks devices and JunOS CLI
  • Juniper MX routers
  • Juniper Switches (QFX, EX)
  • Juniper Chassis Cluster technologies (VC, VCF)
  • Service provide routing and switching
  • Experience with Service provider routing
  • BGP
  • MP-BGP
  • Import / export policies
  • MPLS
  • ISIS and or OSPF
  • Experience with Service provider switching
  • Bridge Domains
  • Virtual Switches Spanning Tree
  • High Availability
  • MPLS services
  • L3 VPN / L2 VPN
