Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will join the Municipal Infrastructure and Land Development group, based in the Ottawa office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and models for civil engineering projects including site development, infrastructure and transportation.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design concepts and produce accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including grading plans, drainage designs, and utility layouts.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation for project budgets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and company quality control procedures.
• Support project teams with technical expertise and contribute to project meetings and client presentations.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation to support project deliverables and revisions.
• Work under the direction of Senior Staff and mentor junior CAD staff.

What your experience looks like

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with 7 to 10 years' experience with a focus on Autodesk Civil 3D software.
• Strong computer software skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro station, Word & Excel
• Proficiency in producing detailed drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D for civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs and specifications accurately.
• Independent, Organized, and Motivated Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
