Work Description
As a Senior Project Manager, IT, you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and management of IT projects across the organization. You will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders and senior executives to ensure that technology solutions meet business needs. Your role will involve managing multiple IT projects, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives. Additionally, you will be instrumental in advancing our IT processes from a developing stage to a mature and optimized level, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and driving long-term operational excellence.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for IT initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior executives and departmental leaders to identify project requirements, set priorities, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Facilitate communication and manage expectations.
  • Vendor Management: Engage and manage third-party vendors for software, hardware, and services; negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget; monitor project expenditures and manage resources efficiently.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines, quality, and costs.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide input on technology selection system architecture, and ensure that solutions meet the company's technical and business needs.
  • Change Management: Lead and implement change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during system or process upgrades and modifications. Ensure minimal disruption to operations during changes.
  • Reporting: Generate regular progress reports, project status updates, and post-project evaluations to stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure that all IT projects adhere to relevant security, compliance, and regulatory standards, particularly in the construction industry.
  • Any other duties as required.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably within a construction or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and digital transformation projects.
  • Proven experience managing mid-scale IT projects, including software implementations and infrastructure upgrades, and experience leading IT process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Exposure to ITIL frameworks and IT support processes is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of IT strategy, system architecture, emerging technologies, and change management principles.
  • Experience in managing budgets, timelines, and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software solutions (e.g., ERP systems, construction management software) is an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel through the City is desirable.

  • Busy, and at times, a loud work environment.
  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines, working for a group of companies.
  • Overtime as required to meet the needs of the business requirements
