The mandate of the Rail Construction Program is to transform, develop, grow, and sustain Ottawa's Light Rail Transit Systems as a component of the City of Ottawa's overall transportation and mobility strategy. The Senior Project Manager will help to manage the City of Ottawa's oversight of the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit (LRT) multimillion-dollar P3 project.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of the stations, and fixed facility infrastructures for Confederation Line East and West and the Trillium Line South extensions.
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the design and review process, ensuring designs are in accordance with applicable Codes, Standards and Project Agreement requirements.
• Managing issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
• Facilitating design review and change management process with multi-discipline internal and external subject matter experts and other stakeholders.
• Assisting in public consultations regarding stations and fixed facility concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
Completion of 4 year university degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Structural Engineering, or Architecture, from a recognized university.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the discipline of planning, design and construction of projects, including a minimum of 5 years construction project management experience.
