Our Lightspeed System Engineering team defines the performance required of all Software elements in the entire satellite communication system. As a Senior Software Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for helping to architect the SW, simulating and modeling the terrestrial and in-orbit communication systems for Lightspeed, and supporting the definition of the architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help to work with the various SW teams and create solid designs for inter-process, inter-system, and embedded best practices.
Work with system architects, antenna engineers, User Terminal, and Landing Station engineers to mentor them in industry-best SW practices.
Characterize and analyze system performance. Develop and maintain performance budgets. Provide technical support to vendors of the various SW systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in electrical computer engineering or other discipline or preferably Master's degree or PhD with extensive embedded SW and frameworks, like a Cobra, SCA, GRPC, RPC, security architectures, preferably with communications systems and architectures.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in communication systems software.
Knowledge of digital communication systems and specific experience with modulation standards such as DVB-S2X and DVB-RCS2, desired.
Good understanding of MATLAB or other tools for modeling and analyzing communication systems.
