The Finance and Corporate Services Department is responsible for the delivery of integral services to ensure the organization achieves operational excellence and corporate priorities. As a trusted advisor and respected partner, the department leads the management of human resources, technology transformation and services, supply, fleet services, payroll, pensions, and benefits, and is accountable for handling all the City’s financial affairs. Our foundation is built on collaboration, continuous learning, innovation and open dialogue.
The mandate of Information Technology Services is to create business value by providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the business operations of the City of Ottawa.
You are responsible for assisting on data and software aspects of corporation's GIS project initiatives and assisting with supporting operational GIS functions including:
Post-secondary Student - completion of second year college or university. Applicants enrolled in studies with educational emphasis on GIS courses/programs will be considered for this position.
Minimum of 1 year but less than 2 years of related experience is required, including demonstrated experience in an ArcGIS or CADD environment and experience in reading and interpreting engineering plans, imagery and topographic maps
