About the role

  • Production, Repair and Overhaul (R&O), In-Service Support (ISS) environment
  • Working in a fast paced dynamic group performing various technical tasks, i.e. Testing sub-assemblies and systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing of equipment
  • Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or Off-The-Shelf (OTS) products
  • Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs
  • Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves Hardware (HW)/Software (SW) interface problems
  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables
  • Works from schematics and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools
  • Additional experience with milling machine equipment would be an asset but not required
  • Ability to create test procedures and reports based on HW requirements.

What you bring to the role

  • Applies technical principles, theories, and concepts to complete assignments of limited scope
  • Candidate would have an understanding of Analog/digital electronics and programming of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)’s
  • Some knowledge for testing and repair of Information Technology (IT) networking equipment and server/ desktop equipment
  • Familiar with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) standards 610 and 620. Also, Military Standards
  • Experience with Radio frequency (RF)/Microwave equipment would be an asset but not required. On the job learning can be achieved
  • Diploma from an accredited college in an Electronic/Electrical/ Mechanical Technology discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Entry level.
