We are seeking a Truck Driver to join our team and support our manufacturing shop in Ottawa, Ontario at 2575 Sheffield Road. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in the construction industry, working with experienced drivers, inventory and tool managers, and purchasers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport tools, materials, and miscellaneous items to job sites safely and on time.
  • Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and in good condition.
  • Pick up tools, materials, or equipment from suppliers or job sites as directed.
  • Perform general cleanup duties at job sites, including removing debris and unused materials.
  • Tag and log tools, equipment, or materials returned from job sites to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operate the delivery truck safely, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with the dispatcher, supervisors, and job site personnel.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA standards.
  • Assist other team members with loading/unloading or other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (commercial driver's licence (CDL) may be required, depending on the vehicle).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role or familiarity with mechanical contracting tools and materials is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50-75 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
