About the Job

As a Ready-Mix Conveyor Driver you will safely and efficiently operate a conveyor truck and maintain an acceptable level of workmanship and productivity.

Based out of our Owen Sound location.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate a Ready-Mix conveyor truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others
  • Deliver products to customers on a timely basis
  • Be a representative of Walker Industries to customers as a front-line worker.

Here's What You Need

  • Experience driving a Ready-Mix concrete truck, an asset
  • Comfortable working outdoors, in extreme weather conditions, and in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience with general equipment maintenance
  • Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience within the road construction industry.
  • Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
