About the Job

As a Ready-Mix Driver you will ensure that delivery of materials is completed as required by dispatch in a safe and efficient manner. Your work means we ship a high-quality product all the time, and is essential to ours, yours and our customers' success.

Based out of our Owen Sound location.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Complete proper pre/post operation circle checks
  • Responsible for the safe delivery of concrete to various job sites and/or customers
  • Ensure trucks are maintained on a weekly basis including greasing as per PM procedures
  • Strip and pour concrete blocks with leftover concrete
  • Accurately judge concrete slump in truck and be able to adjust slump when required
  • Inform dispatch if concrete is out of specification when loaded. Must inform dispatch should a customer attempt to pour concrete that is out of specifications on job site

Here's What You Need

  • Must have a valid DZ Driver's License along with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience and a clean abstract and CVOR
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience with manual transmission and commercial driving.
  • Experience operating a ready-mix concrete truck is an asset
  • Experience using various hand tools and equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying types of weather
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from truck platforms 10ft high.
