Minimum Qualifications:

  • Class D commercial license with air brake endorsement (Z)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate manual transmission
  • Mechanically inclined, ability to perform minor repairs on the equipment

Day in the Life

As a Crash Truck Operator, you could think of yourself as a member of the road artistry team. Responsible for driving and operating crash trucks, forklifts, and loaders, your role is critical to the completion of road construction. You will load/unload materials and traffic control signage as you lay out and pre-mark on new and existing asphalt. Maintaining and cleaning the equipment, completing minor repairs, and conducting routine maintenance will be an important aspect of your role . Attention to detail will also be key as maintain accurate documentation of driver logs, fuel records, time sheets, and daily work logs. Every day you will lead by example by promoting, leading, and executing a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, consultants, and the public.

Enjoy the sunny weather and beautiful views of Northern Ontario while operating state of the art equipment, traveling around the province. You will be adding all finishing touches to the asphalt adding that icing on the cake.
