What you will be doing:

  • Reviewing relevant project documents for clarity and accuracy
  • Confirming Construction specifications and drawings are being followed in the field
  • Performing general field oversight on remediation sites and transportation routes, complete daily reporting on activities, photograph field work taking place
  • Reviewing billing and invoicing to provide validation
  • Participating in project meetings including internal, with Contractors and with residents
  • Recording and managing various databases of project information

What we are looking for:

  • Education
    • Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Radiation Protection, Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology and/or Geotechnical Engineering Technology field
  • Experience
    • Experience with related software such as Microsoft Suites and Primavera
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Technical construction skills are considered an asset
    • Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

CNL's Historic Waste Program Management Office is in Port Hope, Ontario's beautiful and historic community. Roughly 100 km east of Toronto, it is still close enough to the "Big City" without all the hassle of being in the "Big City." As a leader in environmental remediation at nuclear and radiologically contaminated sites, CNL is implementing the Port Hope Area Initiative on behalf of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. The cleanup of historic Low-Level Radioactive Waste by CNL in Port Hope and Port Granby in Ontario demonstrates Canada's commitment to the safe, long-term storage and management of nuclear waste.
