Broad Function
This position reports
directly to VP, Operations on supporting and growing the business by providing job project management and support for multiple service offerings and/or projects. Regional resource and leader providing management and oversight for defined, larger, complex projects anywhere in the Region - or outside the region if business needs dictate. Ensures all assigned projects are delivered safely, consistently and effectively and are profitably managed and compliant. Supports building the Brock brand by providing world class service quality to all stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business.

  • Is a champion for safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure operational excellence and effective implementation of the company's strategies.

  • Build strong cross-functional operating partnerships across the organization (as defined in role success profile).

  • Adopt broad business concepts and apply them to enhance profitability, grow the business, and set organizational policies.

  • Accountable for Commercial Agreements process, from bid/RFP through completion of a project to close out.

  • Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecasts data to determine department or division progress toward company goals and objectives.

  • Oversee assigned strategic account management, product service lines, department and functional goals and budgets, and manages performance against those plans.

  • Oversee/direct the assigned area's operation management with responsibility for multiple customers/accounts within the business unit, including P&L responsibility as well as business development responsibility.

  • Accountable for completion of assigned jobs to the region and customer satisfaction within defined profitability metrics and deadlines.

  • Collaborate with Site Managers on multiple projects and ensures scope, job efficiency and productivity.

  • Develop and ensure compliance with annual operations and capital budgets.

  • Support the process of continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies, reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Play a key role in the development initiatives, including creating and maintaining relationships with key decision makers within assigned and/or targeted customers.

  • Ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined, understood and executed.

  • Ensure that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with Company policy and controls and local, state/provincial, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.

  • Ability to understand and interpret contracts and support the execution of change orders within limits of DOA.

  • Develop and builds sales relationships within both Brock and the customer's organization by cross selling Brock's product and service offerings.

  • Maintain communication with regional leadership and Business Development to ensure customers' needs are met.

  • Assist in resolving customer issues/discrepancies.

  • Ensure coordination of Regional Operations with Asset Management and Staffing on planning/scheduling.

  • Work with Business Development and Estimating to oversee the transition of the job from sales to operations utilizing the Healthy Start process.

  • Monitor project construction execution.

  • Monitor KPIs and assists Project Managers in developing targets and corrective action plans when results are out of compliance.

  • Ensure implementation and continually monitors project Quality Control plans.

  • Ensure work processes and procedures are consistently applied to the project.

  • Ensure compliance with Brock's procurement process in support of vendor evaluations.

  • Collaborate with Regional Management and Project Controls to perform job tracking post mortem and lessons learned for continuous improvement.

  • Conduct effective performance evaluations and mentor those with less experience.

  • Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations

  • Working indoors in an office environment

  • Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary

  • Frequent travel as required

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills, including strong leadership skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word

  • Ability to work with all levels of the Company

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment

  • Ability to manage $40 - $50 million value of work annually

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5-7 years of project management experience

  • PMP and PMI certification, or equivalent, desirable

  • Supervisory experience with knowledge of employment practices (hiring and termination; discipline, attendance, employment regulations, pay practices, etc.)
