WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Responsible for supporting global Data Centre Infrastructure Management Technologies (DCIM) portfolio of applications and infrastructure including Facility Management System (FMS). Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations, support, and compliance of DCIM technologies applications and infrastructure including FMS, and other technologies related to DCIM.
  • Incident Management - Follows standard protocols for troubleshooting standard incidents. Verify system/product operations.
  • Change Management - Follows standard protocols and procedures for executing changes within the environments.
  • Oversee vendors relationships in supporting DCIM technology team with the various technologies within the DCIM portfolio.
  • Liaise with Data Centres & Operational Resiliency (DCOR) team globally to ensure future initiatives are properly integrated within DCIM Technologies.
  • Assisting in translating business needs into technical requirements. Performing all required tasks to ensure technical availability.
  • Interacting with other organizations to investigate/develop solutions for anticipated technical needs in support of business objectives.
  • Document and maintain processes and standards for DCIM technologies.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems; Internet Information Services (IIS) and Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience with the administration and configuration of DCIM applications.
  • Experience with the administration and configuration of real-time data historian applications.
  • Experience with IT disciplines such networking and server/application administration.
  • Strong analytical skill set and strong communication skills. Be able to communicate effectively in both technical and business terms.
  • Have working knowledge of IT Standards, Methodologies, SDLC, & audit requirements.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity of Data Centre Management principles.
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Visualizations (UI/UX design).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a wide array of technical disciplines.
  • Experience with software testing and test plan development.
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as web hosting, browsers and cross browser issues.
  • Knowledge of scripting technologies (e.g. PowerShell).
  • Demonstrated self-starter.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, OPC, and SNMP.
  • Knowledge of operational theory for medium and low voltage electrical equipment (e.g., transfer switches, switchboards, generators, VFDs and UPS systems) as well as mechanical equipment (e.g., chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAH units, fan coil units).
