Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for an Assistant, Procedures & Controls to join our team!

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Manager, Procedures and Controls, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support including planning the day-to-day activities of the section.

Responsibilities of your role will include:

  • Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of correspondence and communication materials, documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Reviewing and editing for accuracy, grammar, proper formatting, etc. and distributing as required.
  • Updating, maintaining, and storing section specific documents and materials.
  • Arranging meetings, securing conference rooms, and compiling information and materials required for section staff.
  • Attending various meetings on behalf of the Procedures & Controls section and participating as a representative on special projects.
  • Assisting in the preparation of department payroll, attendance and vacation records
  • Providing office services support coverage to other key departmental administrative staff during periods of absence.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • Your educational background will consist of the completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (i.e. Office Administration), or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Your application will demonstrate several years of progressively senior experience in an office administrator capacity, along with knowledge of business administration principles, methods, procedures, practices and equipment.
  • You will have sound judgement, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (including grammar, punctuation and spelling).
  • Additionally, your ability to handle several responsibilities at once and meet deadlines will be beneficial in this role.
  • As an Assistant, Procedures & Controls, you will be proficient in the use of a personal computer, and computer software and applications related to the work (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
