JOB TITLE: CAD Operator/Space Project Co-Op Student
DEPARTMENT: FM-PRO (Facilities Management - Planning, Redevelopment & Operations) and Research Facilities
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

REPORTS UP TO: Manager, Space Operations - Planning & Integration, FM-PRO
STATUS: Temporary Full-Time (Student Placement, 4 months, Jan - Apr 2025)

THE ROLE: The CAD Operator/Space Project Co-Op Student will have the opportunity to learn about how space planning and project management takes place in dynamic research and hospital environments within the healthcare industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to the FM-PRO department on infrastructure-related projects (includes space planning, furniture and equipment layouts, feasibility initiatives, client consultations, site evaluations, spatial data extraction, etc.)
New Project Opportunities (includes creating various types of spatial report packages such as fire and life safety, operations and security, and biosafety containment allocations.)
Maintain and improve upon existing standards and processes within the Department (includes organizing department's CAD drawings, updating floor plans to reflect spatial changes, integrating as-built drawings from new construction and renovation projects into the master database, etc.)
Participate in physical walkthroughs and audits of research and hospital spaces.
