Reporting to the Team Lead, Platform Operations, The D365 Support Analyst will collaborate closely with the Lead, D365 Platform Operations and the D365 Senior Technical Analyst. This outstanding candidate will be responsible for providing administration, maintenance, and technical support for the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365) application, including complimentary applications in the Teck environment!

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Lead all aspects of the administration and maintenance of Microsoft D365 application, including supporting applications and services such as Microsoft Lifecycle Services administration, deployment/management of cloud hosted environments, Azure subscription services management, and Fastpath administration
  • Support day-to-day operations of the Microsoft D365 system including timely provisioning of system access/roles, access terminations, and respond to incidents and events with a methodical approach to assess and identify solutions to all types of production (performance, access, accuracy, etc.) issues
  • Work closely with D365 teammates such as developers, functional analysts, and business members such as Finance
  • Liaise with relevant parties for 3rd tier support (external vendors, IT staff, global support team) when required
  • Support configuration and customization of Production and Sandbox D365 environments to meet business requirements
  • Monitor system performance and solve issues, ensuring efficient functionality
  • Document technical activities related to sustainment when required
  • Prepare training materials for new system functionality and/or process changes
  • Extend the capability of the application through generation of new entities, forms, workflows and reports, as well as scheduled code and application deployments
  • Ensure data quality and consistency generated in enterprise systems follow approved workflows and procedures
  • Maintain a knowledge base of supported applications which includes solutions to common support incidents, repeated support procedures and frequently asked questions, and application architecture
  • Assist with yearly audit preparations, and remediation activities
  • Align with Teck Digital Systems standards, policies and procedures to ensure security and integrity of the applications
  • Stay updated and continuously learn new features, updates, and standard processes related to D365 and related technologies

Qualifications

  • A minimum 2 years of experience as a system administrator, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365. Additional understanding of the mining industry and finance is preferred
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English, written and spoken, is required
  • A problem-solver with an analytical approach and problem-solving skills to identify and address system issues and optimize performance
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues relevant to D365 systems and integrations
  • An interpersonal nature and strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with partners and provide user support
  • Ability to communicate optimally with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of how Dynamics 365 integration works
  • Proficiency in D365 configuration, customization and administration
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently, manage multiple technology issues and prioritize deadlines
  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related technologies is a plus
  • Experience working with coordinated business systems
  • Must be available for on-call and after hours support
