Come join our team and gain experience preparing drawings for our subway track team, going to track level and gaining valuable insights to how we move people through our system.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, Design & Development and you will be responsible for preparing and revising a variety of detailed engineering drawings including component, assembly, location plan, and layout drawings. The incumbent is also responsible for the maintenance, scanning, printing and plotting of drawing records.

This also involves tracking, preparing and maintaining the database of Inventory Requests and part stock code number and checking Public Utility Coordinating Committee (PUCC) submissions in a timely manner to ensure proper clearances and track support are maintained.

You will be required to work outside standard hours such as afternoons, nights or weekends to go to subway track level for survey or inspection of track parts.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • Your education includes a post secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (Civil/Mechanical Engineering)
  • Your application demonstrates work experience in drawings and using CADD, Microstation, Solidworks, etc.
  • OACETT or P.Eng certification is an asset
  • Familiarity with TTC CADD standards
  • Must have sound knowledge of mathematical principles related to geometry and trigonometry
  • Practical knowledge of drafting and design principles, concepts, and procedures applicable to trackwork engineering
  • Must be proficient in the use of Bentley Microstation, Project Wise, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office, Solidworks and related software applications.
  • Must have proven analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills, as well as good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
