You will be a successful addition to Dufferin Construction if you:
• Have 4+ years of coordination experience within the Heavy Civil, Commercial, Industrial and/or Municipal Market.
• Have a solid background in preparing estimates of quantities, material prices and labour costs based upon drawings, plans and specifications submitted by customers.
• Are comfortable making independent decisions on customary matters related to estimating/co-coordinating duties all the while adhering to Dufferin Construction policies and guidelines.


Job Responsibilities:
• Develop a strategic and competitive plan for each tender.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates on MTO, Municipal & Commercial tenders as assigned.
• Set up new contracts in accordance with current procedures.
• Coordinate the administration of contracts with the Project Superintendent, as it relates to the general conditions and to customer relations.
• Work collaboratively with Project Superintendent(s) on problems involving contract interpretation, claims and cost control.
• Supervise the processing of contract documents.
• Inform Contracts and Credit Departments on the collection of accounts.
• Provide field personnel with all pertinent information required to successfully execute contracts.
• Accurately forecast the financial results of each project.
• Represent Dufferin Construction in dealings with customers and subcontractors as it relates to contract negotiations, change orders and extras, disputes and claims.

Requirements:
• Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited College or University.
• Minimum 4+ years of construction coordination experience preferably within the Heavy Civil industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to make timely, yet effective decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to change.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting experience.
• Able to help build a cohesive team and facilitate the collaboration of people and cross functional groups.
• Strong customer orientation.
• Strong computer literacy.
