The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Objective
Prepare and execute OnBoard Signaling Mechanical Installation Engineering (IE) activities in support of one or several Bid/Projects, in close cooperation with the Engineering and Installation team
Ensure delivery and quality of the documentation in compliance with M&U Signaling strategies
Ensure the application of EHS policies, local regulations, and professional standards
Responsibilities
In compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards, he/she execute the IE studies and activities, in coordination with the Project Installation Manager, Site Operations Manager, Field Operation Manager and Installation Supervisors, including:
Prepare and execute IE activities (Drawings, documentation, specification, Work Method Statement, etc.) in support of one or several Bids / Projects
Ensure the deliverables are prepared in in accordance with the project execution requirements: customer, installation subcontractor, local regulation, etc.
Support the Field team (Installation Supervisors, Sig Project Site Managers, Sig Installation team Leaders, etc.) to understand and review the deliverables and prepare design modification or change requests following inputs from site
Review the Civil interface drawings (e.g. Station building drawings, track layout drawings, etc.) and provide Sig equipment requirement for space allocation & applicable cable trunking
Prepare Installation material specifications & Installation BoQ
Support the Project Installation Manager, Site Operations Manager, Field Operation Manager during the preparation of the Field quality dossier for Handover
Prepare as-built documentation and ensures conformity with as-installed configuration
Perform Site Surveys during preparation and execution phase (if necessary)
Liaise with BIM Coordinators and BIM Modelers to coordinate common IE studies and deliverables
Ensure application of Digital & Integrated Systems Installation and Field Operations Process for IE activities
Continuous improvement:
Contribute to best practices definition and REX within the Product Line
Partecipate to Process / “Metier” improvement workgroup when requested, to propose update/improvement of the IE way of working, process, tools and RefLib
Report anomalies versus the reference library and / or the local standard and propose any improvement or evolution
Educational/Experience Requirements
Engineer degree level or equivalent education or experiences
Certification on Autocad and/or other Design tool
P. Eng certification or in progress
Good experience on railway site management
Knowledge of Railway products and services knowledge on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
2+ years of experience in design, drafting or engineering (Project and/or construction experience appreciated)
EHS background
Minimum knowledge of BIM procedures and tools
