The ICC (Integrated control center) Intern will be a key contributor to the transition the next solution of green mobility in the GTA.

In this role, you will support the ICC team during the transition between the current GTCS project and the Oncorr project, by partaking to the definition and the deployment of new tools and way of working targeting a more efficient and reactive project execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partake to the definition and deployment of independent development workstreams to enable frequent delivery and parallel implementation/deployment of features and data.

That will require a strong configuration management to allow parallel workstream and prepare synchronization point (merges, etc.).

  • Partake to the maturity improvement of the Verification & Validation activities to make possible parallel workstream developments.

That will require to deploy the SCRUM framework, define meaningful KPI and remove impediment/bottlenecks to ensure that the Verification & Validation activities can efficiently scale with frequent deliveries.

Desired profile

  • In progress of obtaining bachelor/master degree in engineering or IT related technical discipline

  • Previous co-op experience working in a technical area preferred
  • Experience / exposure to the following technologies is a plus:
    • Software development (Python, etc.)
    • SIGNALING principles, ATS
    • TCP/IP, OPC UA Protocol, xml
    • Cybersecurity
    • PowerBI
  • Experience / exposure to the following tools/framework/concepts is a plus:
    • SCRUM framework, understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the SCRUM master and product owner
    • Requirement management tools (DOORS or similar), AGILE project management (IBM EWM , Jira or similar)
    • Version control (GitLab or similar)
  • Experience / exposure to rail product and systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of engineering activities such as system design, verification and validation is a plus
