What you'll do:
Canadian Tire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Automotive Data Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our automotive aftermarket parts fitment catalogue, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing our stores and customers experiences. This role demands a thorough understanding of automotive parts, platforms, e-commerce, and data management, along with exceptional analytical and collaboration skills.
Create, manage, and prioritize catalog requests, capturing requirements for content and timing, aligning resources to deliver catalogs in the timeframe and format required
Develop and maintain catalog infrastructure to ensure systems and processes are best-in-class to deliver market-relevant, accurate application and item attribute information
Develop and implement processes to advance the continual improvement and accuracy of product fitment data and attributes for store and online/e-commerce platforms
Be the internal owner and authority on the network of external resources for application and product attributes, including ACES/PIES application/fitment data
Troubleshoots catalog application, product database, and interchangeability issues
Develop, document, maintain, and optimize comprehensive and accurate aftermarket parts data flows between 3rd parties, vendors, and Canadian Tire and PartSource
Be Automotive Data steward, being point person for organizational data initiatives
Own relationships with 3rd party automotive data software partners, and work with them on collaborative improvement opportunities
Project manage automotive data fitment software upgrades across all channels
Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to obtain and verify product information in a timely manner
Conduct regular audits of catalogue data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ACES, PIES).
Develop and manage processes for continuous data improvement and error reduction
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting catalogue content
Provide support and training to internal teams on catalogue usage
Help to establish and support data quality metrics and KPI's for Automotive Data
An understanding of business process design and reengineering is an asset
What you bring:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive aftermarket parts management
Strong understanding of automotive parts and accessories, including industry standards and regulations (ACES, PIES)
Experience with automotive parts data management systems
Customer-oriented and understands how execution of plans will impact and support Category Management teams, stores and consumers
Strong time and relationship management skills (able to execute multiple plans and timelines across several stakeholders)
Knowledge of internal category management processes
Merchandising cross functional experience
Knowledge of Canadian Tire store processes and procedures
Detail and results oriented
Ability to work cooperatively within cross-functional teams
Thoroughness and high attention to detail with strong technical acumen
