The Headlines:

In the role of Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MSE) working in the Toronto, ON brewery, you will be part of the Information Technology team. As an MSE, you are the subject matter expert and will act as the primary point of contact & partner to the business on all projects and issues related to infrastructure. This person will work closely with corporate security, application, infrastructure, and engineering teams. You will also partner with our IT service providers to maintain and update the IT infrastructure throughout the brewery to ensure high system availability.

This position reports to the Manager of Brewery Systems and is accountable for the support of automation integration into MES plant floor SCADA architecture and will function as the technical lead for IT Infrastructure. The role drives business solution and adoption, leads system changes and serves as a brewery project lead for enterprise-driven capital projects impacting their brewery area.

The Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the management and maintenance of AD, Azure, VDI, Office 365, VMWare, Cisco Networking and other IT related software and hardware in a high-speed production environment.
  • Ensures sustained integrity and stability of brewery IT Infrastructure in a 24x7 operating environment through strong governance and best practices.
  • Responsible for IT infrastructure asset and change management.
  • Provides specialized IT technical support and consulting services to all areas of the brewery including management, team members, and consultants working onsite and remotely.
  • Ensures all hardware, operating systems, software, and procedures align with MCBC and compliance standards.

The Other Qualifications:

  • You have a bachelor's in Business Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
  • You have previous manufacturing experience (3-5 years)
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Win2K16/WIN2k19 & patch management, VM Ware, Dell Wyse Management, Virtual Desktop Images (VDI)
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
  • You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy.
  • You are confident, diplomatic, professional, and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business.
