Your Role
You will oversee and strengthen relationships with key airline partners while representing Kuehne+Nagel in the Canadian airfreight community. This role involves managing and procuring air cost elements, including airfreight main carriage, ground handling, and warehousing. Additionally, you'll assist local and global development teams in sourcing pricing to secure new business, and support the National OCC with gateway functions such as booking, MAWB document production, and cargo acceptance management.
Your Responsibilities
Meet regularly with airline partners to discuss commercial and performance topics.
Participate in carrier QBR presentations as the primary contact at Kuehne+Nagel.
Negotiate specific pricing based on named pieces of business
Assist in the completion of customer RFQs.
Receive and catalogue all new airfreight pricing and ensure it is submitted for upload into Kuehne+Nagel operational systems in a timely manner.
Work on optimizing utilization and reduction of rate level on existing consol programs.
Identify, develop, and launch new consol programs based on available business.
Work directly with OCC on operational topics, and ensure key metrics are being achieved.
Work directly with pricing teams to ensure they have access to best available rates in the marketplace for RFQ and spot business.
Work directly with the development organization (D) to source rates for customer opportunities.
Monitor and report on the performance of our vendors including airlines, warehouses and truckers.
Support with the development of KN digital tool.

Your Skills and Experiences
5+ years of freight forwarding and/or airline industry experience.
Collaborative and teamwork mindset to partner with various internal and external stakeholders including pricing and business development teams.
Sound time management to respond to pricing requests within
deadlines.
