We are looking for a Print Services Operator to join our Print Production Team. If you enjoy working in a fast paced and collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with ability to be flexible when needed (please note these hours may be subject to change, as department is available from 8am to 6pm)

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Operates colour presses, configures job-processing settings, manages job queues, processes files and print jobs, scans materials (book copying), and stores in digital format
  2. Receives and processes electronic documents, and ensures accurate colour production, including all necessary finishing
  3. Sets up printing queues in relation to custom colour print runs of firm publications and other marketing workflow pieces
  4. First point of contact for MFP troubleshooting, places service calls for MFPs as required
  5. Assists in the control of stock levels in regard to all consumable supplies, i.e. toner, paper, tabs, etc., and places orders as needed
  6. Daily recording of job log details
  7. Works well with minimal supervision and according to well-defined, clear instructions
  8. Completes creation of electronic closing books

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience with colour production equipment. Bonus points if you've had experience in a digital production environment utilizing AccurioPro Flux and/or Print Makeready
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Acrobat. Adobe Illustrator and InDesign are an asset
  • Experience in document scanning environments with high volume of scanning requests
  • Proven experience with multitasking, prioritizing workloads and completing work in a timely manner, with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience in digital colour production (calibration of colour, paper stocks - weights & coated vs. uncoated, finishing, and spot colour)

  • Eagerness and ability to learn new skills, technologies, and processes quickly
  • Superior Customer Service skills
  • Friendly and approachable team player willing to assist with projects and stays calm and focused during high volume times
  • Ability to be on call on weekends (rotating schedule), and work overtime as required
