OVERVIEW

McCain is embarking on a digital transformation. As part of this transformation, we are making significant investments into our data systems, structures and policies, and building digital products for our customers, key suppliers and McCain team members to enable digital processes and data-driven automation over time.

Our Technology team's goal is to inspire growth through innovative technology experiences. Our digital teams are key to deliver this ambition. McCain has established digital teams in Agriculture and Commercial and we are now looking forward to expanding our investments in Manufacturing embedded in our MDIxAI program.

PURPOSE

Product Owner develops and refines overarching strategy and sets course for a specific use case creation and application. Working closely with the plant teams (end-users), the plant Digital Lead, and the Director Digital Manufacturing, the Product Owner identifies end-users needs to scope and iterate on specific use case development, leveraging technical input to develop and implement best-in-class solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Overall end-to-end ownership of solution/use case strategy, design, development,, deployment and scaling strategy of their and experience
      • Gather relevant inputs from key stakeholders, including program governance, MDI teams, technical experts (tech, engineering & data)
      • Distill key learnings from each project phase, engaging with other Product Owners to carry forward best practices as solution scales to other plants
    • Build user-friendly tools & solutions that will drive user adoption & engagement
      • Understand key user pain points and current day-to-day processes that will be impacted by owned use cases
      • Bring a UX/UI-centric approach to solution development and deployment, seeking iterative feedback from plant stakeholders and adjusting strategy accordingly
    • Deliver high-quality solutions in an efficient, timely manner
      • Track overall progress and make trade-off decisions between content and timing
      • Ensure timely and high quality solution deployments according to original plans and expectations
      • Execute against target operational improvements (OEE & Recovery)
    • Actively communicate progress and raise blockers to program manager, with solution-oriented mindset to continue driving program forward in a timely manner
    • Establish a user feedback process with plants that gets incorporated into product plans

IDEAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 5-7 years of experience working with a focus in Dedicated domain(Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Production or more broadly Manufacturing functions) or Product Management & Development and with evidence of progressive roles
  • Good business acumen, understands how to drive value through the use of technology and data
  • Experience managing complexity and ambiguity
  • Experience in user-centric design and user interface development
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in using innovative technology
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions internally and with third parties.
  • Demonstrated skill in project management
  • Behaviors and Attitudes
    • Experienced and can speak with credibility on Product Management topics
    • Strong interpersonal skills;
    • Strong communication skills: is able to effectively and persuasively communicate to various audiences including plant management or operators level
    • Strong time management skills, and ability to stick to pre-determined timelines

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in food, engineering, business, computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Master's Degree or Applied Certificate in business management, Computer Science, IT, or related field
