You as a Project Controls Manager will:

  • Lead the project team in developing project controls plans and procedures with support for the construction team.
  • Lead the project controls function for the assigned construction project including cost, budget, forecasting, schedule management and progress measurement and earned value management reporting
  • Enforce consistent project level controls over budgets, construction schedule, quantities, commitments, liquidity and reporting.
  • Responsible for the early reporting of project cost / schedule / installed quantities / man hour reporting, scope challenges and provide solutions to mitigate any identified risks
  • Responsible for the preparation and ongoing management of a project budgeting tool that reacts and adjusts to changes in project scope, distributions, cost and schedule
  • Responsible for leading a forecast process that captures current spend and schedule expectations by area and task during all phases of the project. The forecast will be presented to senior management and include a comparison to the previous forecast and clear explanations for variances
  • Timely management and reporting of all scope and schedule changes in accordance with projects control procedures
  • Monitor project on a recurring basis (project performance vs. budget, estimated costs to complete, etc.)
  • Monitor progress against project schedule and prepare weekly progress reports
  • Reconcile actual spend against quarterly forecast assumptions on a weekly basis and note variances
  • Responsible for all cost functions of the project including the assignment of cost and budget codes to purchase orders, the timely and accurate receiving of goods and services in the accounting system and the processing of vendor invoices for payment
  • Study and understand all relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation of budgets and schedules

Is this the right role for you?

  • University Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience
  • Certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Earned Value Professional (EVP), or related certifications preferred
  • 3-5 years of industry experience, Pharmaceutical or Life Science's experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in schedule analysis, cost estimating, earned value, and cost control
  • Demonstrated high degree of foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project cost abnormalities
  • Experience in the development of estimates and schedules that incorporate the necessary CQV activities, based on a systems-based approach to facility turnover
  • Understanding of Contract requirements and deliverables
  • Advanced knowledge of cost engineering concepts and scheduling skills
  • Understanding of Earned Value and quantity based progression
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented complexities
