We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Coordinator eager to join our talented Strategy & Foresight Department!

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Manager, Fare Policy and Planning, you will provide coordination on project activities through the project lifecycle, from initial planning to completion. As Project Coordinator, you will also provide support to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule. Your assigned projects are of medium to high complexity.

  • You will coordinate and conduct various Fare Policy and Planning related projects and business cases ranging from large to small and long-term to short-term from initial planning to completion.
  • As Project Coordinator, act as a key point of contact for projects and overall program governance. Liaise and coordinate with the project team, TTC staff, internal and external stakeholders as required to collaborate and exchange information.
  • You will participate in the development and implementation of departmental business plans, budget objectives and workforce requirements.
  • Develop project schedules based on input from the project team.
  • Provide project control support for all aspects of the project lifecycle including monitoring, scheduling, as well as cost analysis and cost reconciliations for assigned projects.
  • Perform a variety of studies and research assignments, requiring analysis and interpretation of data, and provide administrative support to the team, as needed
  • You will monitor progress and performance against established terms of reference and work plans.
  • Prepare variance reports and explanations for management, identifying potential problem areas and recommend corrective action as required.
  • Coordinate the preparation of weekly and monthly reports related to future project requirements, workload forecasts, and performance measurement reporting.
  • Track and monitor outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • You will be expected to collaborate with all team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • You will support the implementation of policy enhancements for the TTC and ensure that the quality of the time customers spend with TTC meets the highest standards of transit worldwide.
  • Participate in the TTC's Customer Service Ambassador Program when required.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • Your educational background including completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent is integral and will contribute to the success in this role.
  • Your application will demonstrate previous experience providing coordination on project activities through the project lifecycle, from initial planning to completion.
  • Prior experience with supporting strategic policy development and planning, and developing business cases is considered an asset.
  • Your ability to perform a variety of cost/budget studies and research assignments, requiring analysis and interpretation of data is required.
  • Your application will also demonstrate experience coordinating the preparation of weekly and monthly reports related to future project requirements, workload forecasts, and performance measurement reporting.
  • Your familiarity with public transit services in Toronto, including current issues, challenges and opportunities, as well as best practices and trends in policy, planning, and customer experience across the transit industry.
  • Your application will also demonstrate your ability to develop and support relationships and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams as well as the ability to resolve conflict in a constructive, fair and consistent manner.
