Join the dynamic Information and Information Technology (I+IT) Division at the AGCO as our Senior Advisor, IIT Strategic Vendor and Contracts Management! This exciting opportunity within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Digital Transformation Branch calls for a strategic thinker who can lead critical supplier and vendor relationships effectively. Reporting directly to the Director, Office of the CIO and Digital Transformation, you'll play a pivotal role in maximizing value and fostering success for our Division. What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, the successful candidate will:
  • Lead strategic oversight of supplier service levels and performance indicators to achieve business objectives and enforce targets based on contracts and strategic goals.
  • Conduct annual reviews of supplier performance and compliance and prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and provide feedback to suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through regular evaluations and develop and implement mitigation strategies, collaborating with suppliers and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Develop and refine strategic vendor performance evaluation criteria and maintain robust records to drive continuous improvement in contractor and vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to interpret contractual terms, address complex issues, and resolve disputes effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enhance reporting and analytics for procurement activities, implementing advanced systems to streamline contract management processes and accelerate timelines.
  • Lead high-value vendor/supplier contract negotiations and strategic planning, coordinating with Procurement to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and policies.
  • Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders to develop procurement strategies that advance business objectives and align with the I+IT Technology Roadmap and Divisional goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on policies and procedures based on comprehensive analysis and industry best practices.


How do I qualify?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in supplier relationship management and performance.
  • Proven ability to establish sustainable, transparent relationships and partnerships.
  • Experience in IT contract management, including payments, invoicing, requests for bids, tenders, and renewals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in environments with multiple stakeholders and competing objectives.
  • Knowledge of vendor risk management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Ontario Public Service (OPS) Security Standards and Directives, including procurement directives.
  • The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
