A Day in the Life:
-Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installations.
-Create custom designs as required for architectural proposals.
-Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job.
-Utilize all forms of curtain wall and architectural metals that Flynn offers to its customers.
-Ability to recognize and solve basic and advanced Curtain Wall and UCW detailing issues.
-Read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings.
-Foresee/solve and address curtain wall issues as they arise.
-Ability to read, understand and review Specifications providing input for potential risks.
-Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications as required.
-Demonstrate seasoned understanding of Curtain Wall/Window systems.
-Plan and execute Curtain Wall/Window shop drawings with input from the team leads.
-Review specifications and ensure all aspects of the project have been addressed and conveyed into the final shop drawing package.
-Correspond and plan the execution of projects with Estimating, Project Manager(s), and the Design/Construction teams.
-Understand building construction and sequencing.
-Check fabrication releases.
-All other duties as required.
What We Are Seeking:
-Minimum 5 years of unitized curtainwall experience.
-Detailed knowledge and use of AutoCad.
-Knowledge of Revit, Inventor, Vault are considered strong assets.
-Demonstrated proficiency for reading and understanding Architectural and Structural Drawings.
-Self motivated, strong organization skills, and strong attention to detail.
