WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Digital Operations SRE is undertaking delivery of automated solutions to increase overall compliance to regulatory and security issues such as NPID password reset, certificate renewal, server vulnerabilities and other risk related items across all branch and digital channels. As a Site Reliability Engineer on the Digital CCT SRE team, you will be responsible for development, maintenance and monitoring of the automated solutions and integration with other RBC systems.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Oversee the lifecycle of digital certificates, including procurement, deployment, renewal, and revocation.

  • Ensure that all servers comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain risk mitigation strategies via automation tools and scripts to reduce the impact of identified risks.

  • Implement and integrate the automation tools and frameworks into existing systems and workflows.

  • Conduct regular assessments of automated solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness.

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve overall security posture and compliance readiness.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders on compliance automation best practices and strategies.

  • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to identify areas for automation and develop solutions to address compliance requirements.

  • Document processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and reusability.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security technologies.

  • L2 proficiency in Windows, Linux and mainframe operating systems, and troubleshooting.

  • Competence in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Significant experience with automation and configuration management tool Ansible.

  • Knowledge of directory services such as Active Directory, LDAP, or Azure AD.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps CI-CD tools e.g., GitHub, Helios, OpenShift.

  • Understanding of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
