The Team

As a Software Engineer of the Foreign Exchange Technology Development Team, you will participate in all of software delivery life cycle to deliver high demand services for the bank's trading platforms to support the foreign exchange business.

The Role

The incumbent will design, create, implement, and maintain software, applications, and other computer systems. The incumbent typically collaborates with project managers and other software developers to develop software based on given requirements. Someone in this role should have strong problem-solving skills, allowing them to perform updates and enhancements on current systems, and find solutions for systems that may not be working properly. The incumbent will also create operational manuals and documentations for the software developed.

  • Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
  • Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
  • Role split is 80% development (even split of building new features and integration activities) and 20% testing and documentation

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years core Java Development (version 8.0 or above)
  • 5+ years' experience with database development using SQL
  • 5+ years' experience with shell scripting working in a Unix/Linux environment
  • 5+ years Spring Boot experience
  • 3+ years' experience with front end GUI development (JavaScript/Angular)
  • Recent Capital Markets Celer and/or ION Wallstreet experience is considered a nice to have
  • KX kdb+ experience will be prioritized (nice to have)
