We're excited to introduce this new role on our Store Support team in downtown Toronto. In this newly created position, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of learning for this high-growth area of the business.


As an Instructional Designer (4 Month Contract), you'll support our evolving learning strategy, including designing and developing new hire training, ongoing compliance courses, new systems and process launches and modernizing our training catalogue. You'll also help us launch new learning initiatives, maintain best practices in learning, growth and development, and keep our stakeholders accountable.

What will you be doing?

  • Designing comprehensive learning and development programs and continuous learning initiatives that supports current business strategy and goals with a clear focus on adult learning principles.
  • Recommends, designs and develops learning programs as required by the business or requested by a stakeholder.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight, identify needs and design learning solutions to drive behavioural change.
  • Writing clear, concise, and accurate technical content for a variety of learning formats, including e-learning, webinars, videos, manuals, guides, and job aids.
  • Applying feedback from stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business leaders, revising content as necessary to ensure timely delivery of learning solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining facilitator materials for instructor led learning.
  • Ensure appropriate learning delivery methods are implemented to achieve the desired performance while implementing quality assurance processes to drive knowledge retention and application.
  • Creating blended learning solutions that incorporate classroom training, eLearning courses, and on-the-job activities, catering to business needs and learner preferences.
  • Developing communication materials to effectively promote programs, courses, policies, and changes.
  • Evaluates and selects appropriate learning mediums including e-learning, classroom, or workshops. Determining the most effective manner to satisfy specific learning needs.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures

What You'll Bring

    A bachelor's degree in communication, educational technology, adult learning, or a related field

    • 2‐4 years of instructional design experience focused on eLearning, training manuals, and classroom content
    • Expertise with instructional design, using either ADDIE or SAM methodology, eLearning tools and knowledge of responsive design and advanced actions, audio editing programs and Learning Management Systems
    • Proficient with authoring tools and platforms, including Articulate Storyline.
    • You excel in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively while balancing multiple priorities efficiently
    • Great at expressing yourself clearly and creatively, bilingual would be considered an asset
