YOUR IMPACT:

Reporting to the Sr Director of Renewal Business Practices, the Sr Manager of Support Contracts is responsible for leading a team that provides commercial and contractual support to the WW Renewals Organization for prospective and renewing License, Support, SaaS, Partner, and OEM agreements in accordance with OpenText standards. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with the Support Contracts team and business leaders throughout the company to advise on new and renewing contracts to achieve desired outcomes. You must bring exceptional critical analysis, business judgment and creativity to your daily role and have a track record of collaborating and thriving in a fast-paced, team environment.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Driving results by effectively coaching and mentoring a team
  • Structuring the team's ongoing work; reprioritizing plans to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Providing operational thought leadership by identifying and executing on opportunities to streamline & improve existing practices
  • Analyzing situations, employing creative and effective decision making to solve problems and achieve results
  • Drafting, reviewing and tracking agreements in accordance with OpenText legal and renewal business standards
  • Independently interpreting contractual clauses, and engaging in escalated contract negotiations with existing and prospective customers, including complex, strategic accounts
  • Effectively engaging and building cooperative relationships with cross functional teams to drive alignment and optimal business outcomes
  • Providing support to special projects or other areas within the team

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years previous experience conducting contract negotiations and deal reviews, preferably in technology, +1 year prior experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Legal background with advanced skills in contract preparation, negotiation, drafting and interpretation of a wide variety of agreements. Experience in areas including technology and partner agreements would be considered an asset
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company to achieve results
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Strong capabilities and expertise in Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work well within a fast-paced, high-energy, dynamic environment.
