Senior Manager, DevSecOps

This position is within the Zix | AppRiver business unit of Cybersecurity SMB & Consumer. Zix | AppRiver is a trusted leader in providing productivity, email security, and compliance solutions for businesses of all sizes.

Your Impact:

As a leader, you will be instrumental in constructing cutting-edge systems that help guide our customers through challenging cyber risks to ultimately find even greater opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the effort to design and implement DevSecOps tooling and automation for publicly available cloud-based management systems and private cloud-based security and compliance solutions. You will engage in solving meaningful challenges within a motivated team, gaining exposure to advanced technologies beyond individual access. As a champion and evangelist of DevSecOps culture you will influence and guide agile development teams toward automation, shifting left, and increasing release velocity while fostering collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement. You will work to break down silos between development and operations teams, encouraging open communication and shared responsibilities.

What the role offers:

As a Senior Manager, DevSecOps, you will

  • Implement DevSecOps strategies and methods throughout the development and deployment process for technical solutions
  • Ensure repeatable and successful development and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with Development, Security, Quality, Operations and other functions to optimize fast flow and feedback the development and operational lifecycles for services
  • Drive a security-first mindset across the development lifecycle, ensuring robust protection for our systems and data
  • Develop and implement DevSecOps strategies to embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines and workflows
  • Act as a liaison between development, security, and operations teams to align goals and Priorities
  • Partner with product teams to design and deploy secure architectures for applications and services

What you need to Succeed:

  • 7+ years of experience as DevSecOps Engineer
  • 3+ years as a DevSecOps or Software Engineer team lead
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines incorporating quality and security best practices
  • Experience identifying and designing 'Shift Left' efforts
  • Clear understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Clear understanding of DevOps culture and concepts
  • Good understanding of Software development life cycle through delivery and continual operational support
  • Goal driven; plans and manages toward achieving goals, anticipates problems and issues and proactively drives their resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
  • Able to handle large-scale and multiple products and teams concurrently
  • Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction
