Building Automation Field Service Technician Intern

As a Building Automation Field Service Technician Intern here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of building automation with HVAC Controls and Security Systems. You will work closely with our team of experienced technicians and engineers to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems. This internship will provide you with valuable technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager, and you'll work out of our London, ON location.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
•Assist in the installation and commissioning of building automation systems
•Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment
•Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with systems.
•Assist in the programming and configuration of controllers.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success

YOU MUST HAVE
•Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in a technical or Engineering field.
•Immunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act

• Basic understanding of building automation systems and controls.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous internship or work experience in the field of building automation.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, C++, Java, or Python.
• Familiarity with industry standards and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Project management experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
