The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces and Ontario. Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users. Your Role
As Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing the overall performance, maintenance, and repair of the elevator.
Day to Day
Overseeing the daily operations of the elevator, including receiving, shipping and grading grain.
Managing quality control, blending processes, and ensuring proper drying of grain during harvest.
Coordinating the unloading and loading of railcars.
Managing the shipment of soymeal and canola meal to feed mills.
Supervising seasonal Facility Assistants to meet operational needs safely, efficiently and profitably.
Conducting general site maintenance and actively promoting a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in the operation of a grain elevator.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the grain industry including grading factors, elevator equipment and processes, and effective product storage management.
Practical knowledge in mechanical repair.
Proven leadership abilities.
Proficient computer skills with aptitude for learning and adapting to new software applications.
