DUTIES:
Reporting to the Manager of Design, this position is responsible for the interests of the Office of the Commissioner of Infrastructure Services and facilitates infrastructure projects, while protecting the existing infrastructure, the environment, the general public and the interests of the City of Windsor. This position will serve as lead for the City of Windsor standard specifications and best engineering practice compliance in the City's capital projects and the infrastructure development within the City's right-of-way. This position is responsible for creating and updating City of Windsor Standard Specifications, ensure the City's construction standards are in line with the new/changed legislations and federal/provincial standards. This position is also responsible for the delivery of major infrastructure projects design and project administration, oversee the junior engineers and technologists with respect to the implementation of the design and construction standards and contract administrations. Take a liaison role with local construction industry, provincial standard committees, and other municipalities in the province with respect to the construction standards, contract administration and documentation. Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation's Health and Safety Program. Will perform other related duties as required.
