We are looking for a AZ Feedstock Driver at our Walker Grease Trap Services - Toronto location.

Position Summary: Our driver/technicians are responsible for exhibiting excellent customer service as it relates to collection and cleaning of grease trap equipment. The starting rate for this role is $28.95 per hour with two annual increases for the first four years.

Major (Primary) Responsibilities:

  1. Must perform daily inspections to ensure the safe operation of vehicles and equipment
  2. Responsible for performing collection of preprocessed product, grease trap cleaning and deliveries of processed product to customers
  3. Adhere to superior safety culture and work in a healthy and safe manor
  4. Promote and drive health, safety, legislative and regulatory policies and procedures
  5. Participate in team meetings and contribute where appropriate to continual improvement of work processes and procedures
  6. Focused on excellent customer service for internal and external customers
  7. Mechanically inclined and able to perform routine vehicle maintenance and identify deficiencies in performance which will be reported to fleet maintenance
  8. Ability to work shifts and occasional overtime when required
  9. Advanced knowledge of MTO regulations

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required

Skills:

This position requires a basic degree of initiative and judgment in order to organize and prioritize daily tasks.

  • Basic Problem-solving skills to analyze problems and formulate a plan of action.

  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one-on-one or group situations, or over the telephone
  • Fluent in English (ability to speak, read and write English)
  • Must have 2-3 years AZ driving experience (commercial)

Education & Job Knowledge:

Minimum of high school graduation or equivalent (GED) or work experience in a related role.

Experience: Knowledge of MTO regulations, customer service experience

Certificates, Licenses or Registration: Valid Ontario AZ class Driver's License with Z endorsement

Clean driver's abstract and criminal background check

Certified Professional Driver Safety Training Course Certificate

Travel Requirements:

The incumbent will spend up to 80% of their time driving from location to location as advised by schedulers and managers daily.

Equipment Used: Motorized vehicles, vacuums, pumps and other industrial equipment

Physical Effort:

This is a physical job that requires continual need to stoop, bend, and stretch or carry objects such as materials or equipment up to 50lbs

Working Environment:

Work is generally performed driving a vehicle and in a plant environment. There is frequent exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, heat, cold, traffic and other sensory attributes. Level of noise at any given time is moderate to extreme and may experience frequent interruptions.
